Marina’s music – her original songs or the cover versions she performs – takes great inspiration from the scene of the 1920s, the so-called “Jazz Age”, and its typical mix of jazz with blues and ragtime. While creating the concept of her visual identity, we started from the general feeling of those years, focusing especially on the main artistic style of the time: the Art Deco movement.
The logo reflects this choice: it gives a classy and elegant feeling through a complex pattern of thin brown/golden lines, representing Marina’s distinctive hair, that can vary in shades to adapt to darker or lighter backgrounds.
The webpage (custom theme, front-end and CMS for a WordPress installation), as well as the press-kit and the newsletter – that we also designed, follow the same artistic style, keeping the content as clear and simple as possible: since Marina is very active on social network and very warm and talkative in person, she needed a page to mainly provide useful information about her.
